Joaquín Chaves / hplc-precision-analysis
Apache License 2.0Python-based statistical analysis software for assessing analytical precision of phytoplankton pigment High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) measurements. The software processes quality-controlled laboratory data from the NASA GSFC HPLC facility (2012-2022), performs multivariate statistical analyses including regression modeling and LOESS smoothing, calculates precision metrics (coefficient of variation) for 25 phytoplankton pigments, and generates publication-quality figures and data tables. Developed as Scientific Research Demonstration Software (SRDS) to support the peer-reviewed manuscript "Precision of Phytoplankton Pigment Analysis by High Performance Liquid Chromatography: An Assessment of the Global Ocean Color Validation Dataset Analyzed by NASA." The software enables reproducibility of all published results and provides tools for ongoing quality assurance of NASA's ocean color validation dataset.

MARBLE / AGATE-Open Source
NASA Open Source Agreement 1.3The AGATE open-source plasma simulation code, part of the Magnetosphere-Aurora Boundary Layer Explorer (MARBLE) project, is an ongoing effort to solve the kinetic Hall Magnetohydrodynamics equations within a planetary magnetosphere. We envision AGATE as a open-source community model usable for teaching, a testbed for prototype development, and a means to more easily ingest and make accessible advanced features from privately developed global codes. Currently, AGATE is capable of solving the ideal, Hall and CGL (with pressure anisotropy) magnetohydrodynamics equations on multiple distributed processors with both CPU and GPU acceleration.
